About Community College of Philadelphia — Main Campus
At 1700 Spring Garden Street, CCP’s Main Campus occupies a Center City site organized around the former third U.S. Mint building. The college acquired the property in 1971 and consolidated its permanent campus there in 1983. Students find the college’s broadest concentration of enrollment, advising and student services here, alongside classrooms, laboratories and the library and learning commons. This is the right first stop for applicants who need to speak with admissions, financial aid or placement staff, even if their eventual classes take place at a regional center.
The academic range includes transfer-oriented liberal arts and sciences, business, health, technology, and career programs. The Pavilion houses Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, with teaching kitchens, a Welcome Center, bookstore and dining services. The athletics center has basketball courts and exercise areas; the Winnet Student Life building provides meeting and student-organization space. These facilities sit across several campus buildings, so leave time to find the office or classroom named in an appointment notice.
For transit, the college lists SEPTA bus routes serving Spring Garden Street and a short walk from the Broad Street Line’s Spring Garden station. The Main Campus garage has entrances on 17th and 18th Streets; spaces are subject to availability and posted charges. The college also sits within walking distance of Center City services. Before visiting, book or confirm the relevant student-service appointment and ask whether the campus location in your schedule is the Main Campus or another CCP center.
Broad college services, transfer programs, culinary arts and hospitality, library, athletics and student life.
