About Central Coast Lavender
Central Coast Lavender: organic lavender from its own farm in Paso Robles
Central Coast Lavender is a certified organic lavender farm in Paso Robles, on California's Central Coast. The company produces lavender and lavandin essential oil, as well as a line of products inspired by daily rituals, including body lotions, mists, and other personal care items. Distillation is done by steam in a copper alembic, and the oil is left to mature in the bottle before sale.
Products and collections
The shop's catalog is organized into several sections. The main collection includes pure lavender essential oil and lavandin essential oil. The "Find Your Ritual" section offers routines for morning, evening, and everyday, and includes an aroma profile quiz to guide your choice. A body care line is also offered, with products such as Balance Hand & Body Lotion, Lavender Mist, and other wellness items.
Balance Hand & Body Lotion is presented as the farm's first skin care product, made since 2006. It contains a concentrated blend of botanical ingredients and emollients, including shea butter, sweet almond oil, apricot seed oil, and vitamin E. It is described as a lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion with no greasy feel, suitable for frequent use on dry skin. It comes in an aluminum container, in a French tradition begun in Grasse in 1833, chosen to protect the essential oil from light. The product is 89% naturally derived, free of parabens and sulfates, and made in small batches.
Lavender Mist is offered for the body, linens, and home, in a fine, light mist format. It is recommended for use at any time of day, and it is advised to keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
Production method and philosophy
The farm grows true lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, of the English variety, which produces a limited amount of oil once a year. Harvesting is done by hand at dawn, while the field is still cool, and it is distilled the same day. According to the company, each bottle corresponds to a single season's harvest. After distillation, the oil rests for months so that the harsher edges soften and the oil settles. For twenty years, the company has maintained a stock of mother plants true to type, received hand to hand among lavender-growing families.
History and milestones

In 2025 Lavender Academy™ and the California Lavender Living™ brand were created.
