Valencia College — Heart of Florida United Way Center for Accelerated Training

The Heart of Florida United Way Center for Accelerated Training serves northwest Orlando from 3437 W.D. Judge Drive. Valencia describes this 26,000-square-foot site as its largest accelerated-training center, with equipment for short, intensive programs tied to local hiring needs. The current program page lists carpentry, distribution operations, HVAC/R, medical-office support, plumbing, facilities maintenance and welding; the college’s wider accelerated catalog includes other trades and technology paths. Course lengths, entry requirements and costs vary by offering, so use the live schedule and speak with an advisor before treating any certificate as open enrollment.

This is a career-training center rather than a traditional degree campus. A student can build a job skill and earn an industry certification in weeks, with more time required for some programs, but the center does not replace Valencia’s 60-credit A.A. transfer route. Valencia says successful completion of selected accelerated programs may carry credit toward an A.S. degree; that credit is not universal. Ask which courses are credit-bearing, whether the credential is nationally recognized and whether a current scholarship can help with tuition or the costs of attending training.

The Northwest site offers program information, a request-information form and contact with an accelerated-training advisor at 407-582-6688. Valencia has described a Live United Scholarship partnership with Heart of Florida United Way for eligible students; funding periods and selection criteria can change, so ask the current advisor about the open cohort and application. The program page also directs learners who need to improve English to Valencia language programs. That is useful for adults who want a shorter vocational route but need to understand course language and workplace vocabulary before starting.

The college’s broader transportation guidance says LYNX operates across Orange and Osceola counties and serves stops near Valencia locations, while the general free parking decal is for accepted students at regular campuses outside Downtown. The Center’s current page does not set out a separate visitor-parking rate, so confirm access and parking with the training team before driving. The route button here points to W.D. Judge Drive. For help in Spanish, Valencia Continuing Education lists Spanish-language support; ask the center whether an advisor or intake session can assist in your preferred language.
