About Metropolitan Community College — Elkhorn Valley Campus
Elkhorn Valley Campus is at 829 N. 204th Street in Elkhorn, west of Omaha’s city limits. MCC opened the 51-acre site in 1980 to serve western Douglas County and portions of Dodge and Washington counties. It belongs in an Omaha-area guide because it is a full-service MCC campus for the western metro, though students should use Elkhorn as the destination when entering the address into a map.
The single-building campus is a general academic center with transfer courses and a distinctive concentration in creative and visual fields. MCC lists art, interior design, fashion design, photography, video and audio communication, technical theater, business, criminal justice and health information systems among the programs associated with Elkhorn Valley. The campus also has computer and visual-arts labs, library services, student services and a bookstore; the current program finder identifies which award and classes are actually offered at this site.
Visitors can use the campus store for food, drinks and school supplies during its posted hours. MCC’s Gallery of Art and Design sits just inside the main entrance, with changing exhibitions and free admission; the college says parking is free and open to the public for gallery visits. Student-services hours differ from building hours, so call before going for advising, enrollment or records. MCC’s location page includes a virtual tour, campus hours and a direct map marker.
The western location can make Elkhorn a practical choice for students who live outside central Omaha, but the address is in a separate municipality. The campus provides classes and services within MCC’s four-county service area, while program schedules can still place a student at another site or online. Before enrolling, compare the degree plan with the intended transfer university and ask the department which courses, studio labs or support services meet at Elkhorn Valley in the coming quarter.
MCC’s Elkhorn Valley Campus serves western Douglas County and parts of Dodge and Washington counties. It combines transfer study with arts, design, fashion, photography and media programs, and has a library, student services, labs and a campus store.
