About Lifestar Home Care

Lifestar Home Care is a locally owned home-care agency in Oklahoma City. Matt and Mariela Rogers founded it after their own family experienced caring for someone with dementia. That experience led them to build a service centered on daily routines, communication with families, and individualized support. The company says it is not a franchise and lists its Oklahoma license as HC8149.

The service area includes Oklahoma City and nearby communities such as Edmond, Yukon, Moore, Midwest City, and Nichols Hills. Care is provided at home and tailored to different circumstances, from a few hours of help each week to daytime companionship or live-in and 24-hour support, depending on a client’s needs and the plan arranged with the family.

Caregivers can assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, meal preparation, errands, transportation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. They also provide companionship and shared activities. Lifestar describes its approach as helping where support is needed while preserving an older adult’s participation and independence in familiar routines as much as possible.

The service menu includes support for people with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, post-hospital care, and specialized services the company associates with stroke and Parkinson’s care. Lifestar also provides care in assisted-living facilities when residents need extra help with everyday tasks or companionship. These are non-hospital care services; the company’s published information does not present them as a substitute for medical treatment.

Before care begins, the agency proposes talking with the family to understand which tasks, schedule, and level of support fit the situation. Lifestar says plans can be adjusted as needs change and that it does not require long-term commitments. In-home visits are scheduled individually.

Caregiver screening is another part of the service: Lifestar says it checks criminal backgrounds and references and assesses skills before assigning a professional. It also considers schedule, personality, and care needs when making a match, with the aim of supporting continuity in the care relationship.

The agency describes communication with relatives as part of its support: when routines or needs change, the team can review plan adjustments with them. That approach places care within the client’s daily life and keeps family members involved rather than reducing the service to a fixed task list.
