Oklahoma's Promise
The family must live in Oklahoma and meet adjusted gross income limits that depend on the number of dependent children: up to $60,000 for one or two, $70,000 for three or four, and $80,000 for five or more, with special provisions for some groups. Students may apply in grades 8–11; seniors must apply by December 31 and before graduation.
About Oklahoma's Promise
Oklahoma’s Promise allows eligible Oklahoma students to receive a tuition scholarship at participating in-state institutions. The opportunity begins before graduation: students enroll during high school and complete a sequence of courses, grades, and conduct requirements through graduation.

High-school requirements include college-preparatory courses, a minimum GPA, and conduct rules. For college benefits, the family must also meet a later income limit and the student must file FAFSA each year. The benefit pays eligible tuition, not automatically fees, books, housing, meals, or transportation; private schools apply their own caps. Use the official portal and apply through OKcollegestart.org with a parent or guardian. Upload all requested income documentation: an application is not complete until the paperwork arrives. For 2026 seniors, the December 31 deadline is still ahead, but do not wait until the last day; ask your counselor about required courses and graduation dates.
