About Madera Community College — Oakhurst Campus
Madera Community College at Oakhurst is at 40241 Highway 41, north of Fresno on the way toward Yosemite. It serves Oakhurst and nearby foothill communities, as well as residents of Mariposa County and Yosemite Valley. Courses began there in 1985; in 1996 the center moved to its current site in Oakhurst’s business district. Unlike the larger Madera campus, this location focuses on local classes and links to the college’s other sites.
The official map identifies a Welcome Center, Student Support Services, Student Success Center, study and remote-learning spaces, general classrooms and a science room. Oakhurst’s class list combines some in-person or hybrid sections with courses delivered entirely online; subjects and formats change each term. Students can combine Oakhurst offerings with courses at Madera College, and the catalog identifies which degree or transfer requirements can be completed from this location.
Applicants use the Madera Community College application and can contact the Welcome Center to find courses that fit their education plan. Per-unit costs follow California’s state fee plus additional charges that depend on residency, program and materials; FAFSA, CADAA and the California College Promise Grant are available to eligible students. The campus map shows parking, subject to district permit rules. Before driving on Highway 41, verify the address, classroom and whether the section meets in person: this site is outside Fresno’s urban core and not every class is face-to-face.
