Bronx Workforce1 Career Center

The Bronx Workforce1 Career Center is on Fordham Road, in a busy area for transport and shopping, but the city identifies the entrance as being on Webster Avenue—a useful detail if you want to avoid searching for the wrong door. The city network offers one-to-one guidance, workshops, résumé writing and interview preparation, as well as referrals to open positions in New York. Registration is free, and the center does not promise a particular job.

Public comments about this location show uneven experiences. Some people describe frustration with service, phone calls or follow-up after recruitment events, so ask for the vacancy name, employer contact and next-step date in writing. The city also lists centers in Hunts Point and West Farms, allowing you to compare which location is easier to reach. A negative review alone does not prove fraud, just as a positive comment does not certify that every job offer is legitimate.

The city address is 400 East Fordham Road, eighth floor, with the entrance on Webster Avenue; the career-center listing gives (718) 960-2458. Workforce1 serves NYC residents aged 18 or older who are legally authorized to work in the country, with registration online or in person. If a private agency offers to place you, check its DCWP license: in the city it cannot charge you before placing you in a job or sell training or certifications as separate fees. If a charge seems suspicious, keep the advert and messages and contact 311 or the FTC.
