About Nashville State Community College — Southeast Campus

Southeast is Nashville State’s second-largest location, at 5248 Hickory Hollow Parkway in Antioch, in the southeastern part of Davidson County. The college reported 1,094 students for fall 2025; its campus page emphasizes a Welcome Center, Student Success Center and a mix of students from different backgrounds. For many applicants, the address matters because Southeast is the main in-person home of the college’s English as a Second Language program and the Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts.

Culinary Arts is the signature program here. Students train in food preparation, cooking and baking, kitchen operations, nutrition, sanitation, cost control and hospitality management. The college lists a one-year technical certificate at about $4,726 in tuition and fees and a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree; the published estimate excludes knives, chef clothing and other project expenses. Most culinary courses are taught at Southeast, although a few may be available online. The published program fee is $30 per culinary credit, so prospective students should compare the program page and the catalog with their own course plan before estimating the full cost.

Southeast is also the primary location for daytime, in-person ESL classes. The sequence has four levels in listening and speaking, reading, writing and grammar; each course is three credits, and a placement assessment helps determine a starting level. Students who complete Level 4 may move into courses for a major. Nashville State says ESL classes run in fall, spring and summer, with nighttime Zoom sections also available. Depending on eligibility, financial aid can pay for unlimited ESOL classes and up to 30 hours of learning-support courses. Contact the ESL office before enrolling to ask which assessment, class format and term fit your schedule.

The campus also lists two-year pathways in Exercise Science and Sports and Leisure Management, along with its broader catalog of associate degrees, certificates and transfer options. A computer lab in rooms 1211 and 2013 has published weekday hours, and students can contact the Student Success Center for academic and personal support. The campus page gives the Welcome Center schedule, phone and tour option. Student and employee cars need college permits; campus parking policy says the student permit is included in tuition and fees. Use the map link to plan the trip to Antioch and confirm the office or classroom before setting out.
