SpraySmarter: agricultural spray parts and equipment online

SpraySmarter is an online store specializing in agricultural spraying equipment, precision agriculture components, and lawn and garden care accessories. The site, operated by Equipment Technologies, offers farmers a way to purchase parts and troubleshoot without having to drive to a physical dealer.

Origin and history

The idea for SpraySmarter came about in late 2009, when Matt Hays, CEO of Equipment Technologies, observed a farmer asking questions about sprayer parts at a dealer's counter. The parts manager's expertise solved the farmer's problem, which led Hays to consider the possibility of bringing that knowledge to a website. SpraySmarter.com launched in April 2010. Since then, according to the company, it has provided thousands of farmers with access to parts from leading suppliers, including companies with which Equipment Technologies already collaborated in manufacturing its Apache self-propelled sprayers. The company presents itself as the largest independent manufacturer of self-propelled sprayers in North America.

Second generation of the site

The current website is the second generation of SpraySmarter.com and launched in the summer of 2012. Major changes include an expanded product selection and enhanced rich media content, such as video demonstrations.
