About Montgomery Career Center
In Montgomery, the public Career Center can help turn a scattered search into a plan: review a résumé, practise interviews, use online resources and ask about training or employer referrals. Alabama’s network also lists resource rooms with computers, phones, printers, fax machines and assessments, as well as veterans’ services and labour-market guidance. Basic assistance is free; training programmes may depend on eligibility and available funding.
The office is at 1060 East South Boulevard, Montgomery, AL 36116. The state lists 334-286-1746 and weekday hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; call before travelling to confirm that the service you need is available. To search openings and register a profile, visit AlabamaWorks. The state portal lets you manage résumés and applications; if you have account trouble, the state recommends contacting the local centre or emailing helpdesk.alabamaworks@workforce.alabama.gov. The Career Center can also advise people who are not yet sure which programme to ask about.
Arrive with a specific goal and ask who can help, whether you need an appointment and when you should follow up. If you believe you experienced discrimination in a WIOA-funded employment programme, Alabama explains how to file with its Equal Opportunity section and gives a general 180-day deadline; this is different from an unemployment-insurance dispute or a complaint against a private employer. Keep messages, dates and names. The FTC advises against paying intermediaries who promise to find you work and recommends confirming each opening on the employer’s genuine website.
