Aster Aging — Mesa

Aster Aging provides community services for older adults and families in the East Valley. Its administrative office is at 45 W. University Drive, Suite A, Mesa; the main number is 480-964-9014. It is not a city office or an insurer: it combines direct services, referrals, and programs with different criteria. A practical starting point is its Outreach and Social Services team, which offers needs assessments, community-resource information, benefits-enrolment assistance, and guidance on food and health resources.

Aster operates two centres in Mesa, Downtown and Red Mountain. Its official page describes daily lunches, activities, exercise, arts, education, and wellness programmes; both centres are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays. Meals for You can deliver up to five hot lunches a week to people aged 60 or older—or with a documented developmental disability—who live within Mesa city limits. Aster publishes a $6.60 per-meal rate for eligible participants; staff assess each request and confirm availability first.

In-Home Support and the Neighbors initiative address different needs, including transportation, companionship, caregiver respite, and practical help, subject to assessment and capacity. Aster also helps with applications for Mesa utility discounts and other benefits, but the city—not Aster—decides whether an applicant qualifies for its discount.
