Upper Hawksbill covers 2.1 miles round-trip from Skyline Drive mile 46.5. The National Park Service estimates an hour and a half and 520 feet of elevation gain to reach the park’s highest summit.
Several routes lead to Hawksbill. This upper approach is longer and more gradual than the lower trail, making the choice of parking area important. Confirm conditions and keep pets on a leash.
