The published application opens January 27, 2027 and closes April 8 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Applicants need a minimum 2.5 GPA, at least half-time enrollment, and plans to study for the full academic year. Students may pursue an associate degree or prepare to transfer to a bachelor’s program. The page also requires a high-school diploma or equivalent by fall 2027; students who already hold a bachelor’s and those in 100% online programs are not eligible for this category.
Eligibility includes LGBTQ+ community membership or ally status and not having reached Point’s prior funding limit for this program. Check carefully whether you have already received two years of support and how to demonstrate plans for the full cycle. Prepare a transcript, enrollment information, and answers about academic goals. Before accepting, ask the college when the award is credited and what balance remains for housing, transportation, insurance, and expenses outside coverage.
To estimate the real cost, ask the school for a written calculation separating tuition, fees, housing, and expenses the award does not cover. Confirm whether aid can renew and what academic progress it requires. Keep the award letter and verify when funds will be applied to the student account.
