About Little Palm Island Resort & Spa
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa: a private island retreat in the Florida Keys
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is a resort located on a private island in the Lower Florida Keys, accessible only by sea or by air. The property presents itself as America's only private island resort and operates under the management of Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Its offering combines seclusion, nature and luxury service in an environment with no televisions or distractions, where the sound of the sea and the palm trees set the pace of the stay.
Beachfront bungalow accommodations
Accommodations are spread across thatched-roof bungalows situated just steps from the water. The suite offering includes the Island Premier Suite, Island Grand Suite, Island Romance Suite, Island Escape Suite and accessible suites. All of them are designed for disconnecting and reconnecting with what matters most, in an environment of privacy and silence.
Dining: The Dining Room, Palapa Bar and private experiences
The culinary offering is built around The Dining Room, the Palapa Bar and private dining options. The resort describes its offering as an experience of flavor, season and soul, with local ingredients and moments ranging from sunrise breakfasts on the beach to candlelit dinners with the ocean breeze. Featured dining experiences include Vintner's Voyage and an Omakase dining experience. A dress code applies in The Dining Room: gentlemen are asked to wear a collared shirt, swimsuits are not allowed and shoes are required.
SpaTerre: wellness in a two-story atrium
The resort's spa, SpaTerre, occupies a two-story atrium surrounded by greenery and presents itself as a sanctuary for the senses. Its program includes body rituals, meditative beach yoga and nature-inspired wellness practices. The resort also offers wellness packages and a section called Sanctuary of Wellness.
Experiences on the island and in the surroundings
Arrival on the island can be by seaplane, with a cinematic descent over the resort, or by boat via the private marina. Available activities include snorkeling at Looe Key, on the world's third-largest barrier reef, as well as sunset sailing, reef dives and kayak routes through the mangroves. The resort also organizes curated events, from sandbar picnics to fireside chats under the stars.
Events, weddings and full island buyout
Little Palm Island is offered as a setting for weddings, private events and meetings, with the possibility of reserving the entire island. The resort has event spaces and accepts proposal requests for meetings and weddings. The company describes each celebration as a meticulously curated occasion in a singular setting.
History and character of the resort
The resort traces its origins to the 1950s, when the island operated as a private retreat known for its untouched beauty and seclusion. Over time it became one of the most exclusive heritage island resorts in the United States. Presidents, celebrities and travelers seeking retreat have passed through its facilities, and the property maintains that commitment to privacy and quiet. The resort's history is documented in the publication The Little Palm Island Storybook, written by Margit Bisztray.
Stay policies
The resort is adults-only: children under 18 are not permitted on the island and the minimum age to check into a room is 21. Pets are not permitted either. The cancellation policy is strict: cancellations made within 30 days prior to arrival are non-refundable, deposits are not transferable to other dates — although the guest may send someone else in their place — and an early departure incurs the full amount of the intended stay.
Additional offerings and services
The resort has a boutique, an events calendar and an offers section with seasonal packages focused on indulgence, adventure or rest. The offering is completed with access services, information on how to get here, FAQs, gift cards and travel professional programs. The resort is part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts group, which brings together properties in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Mexico, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
