Lane’s Moving & Storage

With an office in Lima, Lane’s Moving & Storage handles local moves and longer routes within Ohio. Its website defines intrastate moves as trips over 50 miles and says it can arrange relocations from one city across the state to another. The family company also lists storage, which may matter to customers coordinating separate pickup and delivery dates or holding part of an inventory temporarily.

The company’s service list includes packing and wrapping, custom crates for oversized or irregularly shaped belongings, direct loading to a road van, unpacking and setup at the destination. It mentions optional replacement-value coverage. A quote should turn those services into clear line items: which rooms are packed, which pieces need custom crating, the cost of additional protection and the charge for each storage day.

Favorable comments associated with the exact Lima Google Maps listing mention friendly staff, hardworking and efficient crews, careful packing, and positive experiences with both moves and storage. Reviews also refer to combining transportation with warehousing. These are personal accounts: they can suggest useful questions, but each inventory, access point and route needs its own plan.

Lane’s appears as Lane’s Moving & Storage Inc in PUCO’s carrier list, with CPCN 00001380 and an address at 245 E Murphy Street. Its official website also advertises interstate routes through Allied, but the FMCSA record checked for the Lima entity shows intrastate-only operation. If the destination crosses Ohio’s border, the proposal should name the federally authorized company responsible for interstate transportation and explain how responsibility is divided.

The office lists (419) 228-3624 and weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it is listed as closed on weekends. Customers can request a quote. Provide origin, destination, approximate volume, dates and storage needs; request a written inventory, tariff, protection terms and legal name of the carrier before booking.
