College of Southern Nevada — Sahara West Center

Sahara West has a different role from CSN’s degree campuses: the Division of Workforce and Economic Development bases registration and several adult-learning services here. Its course areas include adult literacy, vocational English, GED and high-school equivalency preparation, healthcare and business continuing education, safety instruction and workforce training. People looking for a short course can register online or contact the division to confirm dates, costs and the classroom address.

The college’s Spanish-language information distinguishes noncredit vocational English classes from English courses that count toward an academic program. Adult-literacy ESL may be offered at different neighborhood sites and can have limited seats or waitlists; the current enrollment session explains placement and advising. A noncredit class is useful for language or job skills, but it should not be counted as degree credit unless CSN confirms that equivalency in writing.

CSN’s current directory lists 2409 Las Verdes Street, Las Vegas, NV 89102, while workforce registration identifies Building B at that address. Check the specific course page before arriving: the division teaches across multiple locations and not every class meets at Sahara West.
