About Fairfield County Foundation Scholarship Program
Fairfield County Foundation administers more than 130 scholarship funds for students in Ohio’s Fairfield County. More than 100 are managed online, and most can be accessed through a universal application. The 2027–28 cycle opens December 1, 2026. The foundation has not yet posted the final closing date for that cycle, so do not reuse the previous cycle’s March deadline as current.
The portal says one application can serve several scholarships and identify funds for which the student may qualify. Some awards require supplemental questions, essays, references, or other information. Five scholarships are not part of the universal form and require paper applications with their own instructions and dates. Reviewing both paths helps students avoid missing an award tied to a specific major, school, or experience.
Payments depend on individual funds, and some decisions are released in stages from April through June. The foundation says submissions are final after the deadline and late edits are not accepted. In the prior cycle, applicants uploaded a FAFSA Student Aid Index and transcript; confirm in the 2027–28 portal which pages and documents are required this time. Not every award renews, and some pay the school directly.
The foundation provides Foundant tutorials and lists a program officer for application questions. Use an email address you can access after graduation; the portal sends notices and follow-up requests there. After an offer, complete acceptance steps and verify enrollment, permitted costs, and payment timing. Ask the financial-aid office how an outside scholarship appears in the full aid package.
