Dallas College — Cedar Valley Campus

Cedar Valley occupies more than 300 acres in Lancaster, south of Dallas. The setting feels open and spread out, with a lake, athletic fields and separate academic buildings; students should check the campus map before a first visit because program spaces are distributed across the site. The map labels parking, accessible entrances, advising, admissions and program labs. Dallas College lists the campus in the GoLink Inland Port Zone, an on-demand transit service; confirm operating times and the trip origin in DART’s current planner.

The program list reaches well beyond general transfer classes. Veterinary Technology uses a 3,200-square-foot teaching facility and is offered onsite and through distance education. Automotive and diesel training, air-conditioning and refrigeration, commercial music and audio engineering, the state-licensed law-enforcement academy, and logistics, supply-chain and manufacturing technology each have a distinct practical focus. The college also describes a transfer pathway in industrial technology. Confirm the lab location, prerequisites and credit map for the credential you intend to pursue.

Four commercial music and audio studios give the campus a visible creative-training component. Students can also use the Sundance Market for food and supplies, a veterans’ lounge, STEM labs and camps, tutoring and career services. Cedar Valley athletics compete in basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball. Those details make it useful to compare a campus visit with the program catalog: the facilities are strong indicators of what is taught here, while the catalog identifies the exact award, credits and course sequence.

The main address is 3030 N. Dallas Avenue, Lancaster, and the campus phone is 972-860-8201. Dallas College presents this as one of its seven principal campuses, with additional centers elsewhere in the county. Ask an adviser which classes are held at Cedar Valley and whether a sequence includes another site or online sections. That practical check matters in a countywide institution: the degree belongs to Dallas College, but the workshop, lab or student service you need may be assigned to a particular building or center.
