About Little Lake Lending
Little Lake Lending: personal loans up to $2,500
Little Lake Lending is a short-term personal lending entity operating under the legal name Layma, LLC dba Little Lake Lending. The company is wholly owned and operated by the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians of the Big Valley Rancheria, a federally recognized American Indian tribe. All loan application decisions are made at its office located at 2726 Mission Rancheria Rd., Lakeport, CA 95453, on the Tribe's reservation.
Loan product and terms
The company specializes in small personal loans, with a maximum of $2,500, and no prepayment penalties. The site emphasizes that it does not charge fees for paying off the loan early or for making additional principal payments, a practice the entity itself presents as a way to reduce interest and the total cost of credit.
Approved loans are governed by Tribal law, applicable federal law, and the terms and conditions of the loan agreement. The company warns that this is an expensive form of borrowing, designed for short-term financing needs and not as a long-term financial solution. Late payments or non-payment may result in additional fees and collection activities in accordance with the contract and applicable Tribal and federal law.
Application and funding process
The application process consists of four steps: complete the online application, confirm your information online or by phone, e-sign the loan agreement, and receive your funds. Applications processed and approved before 6:00 p.m. CST Monday–Friday are typically funded on the next business day, where a business day means Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
To receive funds on the same business day, applicants can request Real-Time Funding by calling 844-600-9737. If the application is submitted online through the account portal, Real-Time Funding is automatically applied when the loan is approved on a weekday after the same-day ACH cutoff at 6:00 p.m. CST, or at any time on Saturday or Sunday. If this service is unavailable or the bank cannot process a same-day transaction, the next fastest funding method is used. The company does not charge for Real-Time Funding, although the customer's bank may apply its own fees, and the exact deposit time depends on each institution's processing times.
Big Fish Rewards loyalty program
Little Lake Lending operates the Big Fish Rewards program, through which customers earn points for making on-time payments, answering surveys, and other actions. Points can be redeemed for gift cards or used to reduce the loan's principal balance.
Customer service and security
The entity provides customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through agents and loan specialists reachable by phone, chat, email, or mail. The site states that the company uses industry-leading security protocols to protect users' personal and financial information, with continuous account monitoring.
Geographic availability and restrictions
Little Lake Lending does not lend to residents of Connecticut, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia. It also does not offer loans to active-duty service members or their covered dependents, in accordance with the Military Lending Act (MLA) notice. Availability of short-term installment loans may change at any time at the entity's sole discretion.
