About Santa Fe College — Alfred B. Sr. and Agnes W. Watson Center

The Alfred B. Sr. and Agnes W. Watson Center serves southeast Bradford County from Keystone Heights, roughly 30 minutes east of Gainesville. Two education buildings anchor the site, which opened its first building in 2005 and added a second in 2006. Students can take general-education coursework, pursue local dual enrollment or use the center’s community and adult-education offerings without making every trip to Gainesville.

Its learning facilities include computer labs, a science lab, a common meeting area and offices. The college also uses Watson Woods—a 40-acre mixture of pines and oaks with a historic borrow pit and upland sandhill habitat—as an outdoor classroom. That setting gives the center a field-based dimension that is unusual among its locations. The program and course schedule remains the guide to what is taught on site in each term.

The center is on State Road 21 between Santa Fe Lake and Lake Geneva. The official directory lists the local phone number and a directions link. College-wide policy makes student parking free without a decal; park only in designated student areas. Students who need advising or enrollment help should check the center’s service hours and whether a particular transaction is handled locally or referred to another office.
