Eartha’s Farm & Market

A Saturday market on a nonprofit urban farm, with onsite crops, goods from other local growers and food-access programs.

About Eartha’s Farm & Market

Eartha’s Farm & Market is a Clara White Mission initiative at 4850 Moncrief Road, Jacksonville, FL 32209. The organization says it opened a 10.5-acre urban farm in Moncrief Springs in 2012 to grow healthy food, expand local access and provide education and training. The farm raises annual vegetables and fruit onsite and brings in goods from other local farmers to widen the Saturday selection.

The public market runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and participates in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which provides vouchers for mothers and seniors that can be used at the farm produce stand. It also participates in Feeding Northeast Florida’s Fresh Access Bucks program: SNAP EBT can be used at food-based businesses, and the organizer says benefits are doubled on Florida-grown produce. The broader site includes orchards, an apiary, compost operations, an herb garden and community plots, making the market part of an active urban farm rather than a standalone row of stalls.

In brief

Seasonal fruit and vegetables, local farm goods, WIC and senior farmers market vouchers, and SNAP Fresh Access Bucks matching on Florida-grown produce.
