Jackson WIN Job Center — Hinds Community College

The Jackson WIN Job Center brings Mississippi Department of Employment Security services closer to people seeking work in the state capital. Visitors can get help with job searches and résumés, career guidance, training information and priority services for veterans; the centre also provides computers, a phone, fax, copier and private space for employer interviews. Staff do not charge to connect job seekers with openings and cannot guarantee that a company will hire them.

The office is at the Hinds Community College Academic and Technical Center, 3925 Sunset Drive, Jackson, MS 39213. The phone number is 601-414-7796. MDES lists weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 4 p.m. Wednesday closing; call before visiting to confirm that day’s hours. Do not confuse job-search registration with an unemployment-insurance claim: MDES handles both, but the rules and information requested are not the same.
