The three-bedroom homes are aimed at large groups or families. The Banyan House offers views of the Atlantic Ocean and the private beach, with a furnished veranda-style porch just steps from the sand. The Blue Charlotte House is a 6,000-square-foot vacation home with a private 18-meter pool; the ground floor includes a chef's kitchen with dining area, private office, spacious foyer, and a bedroom with king bed and en-suite bath, while the upper floor houses a living room and two master bedrooms with en-suite baths. History and Conservation Philosophy

The original Moorings was built in 1936 as a private estate, with a main house and several outbuildings and guest houses. In the 1960s, Hurricane Donna devastated Islamorada and the owner at the time transformed the property into a small fishing resort, attracting fly fishermen interested in the bonefish that feed on the sand flats in front of the beach. In 1987, the property was acquired by its current owner, Hubert Baudoin. Over the years it has undergone transformations and expansions respecting the existing landscape and enhancing natural elements rather than adapting them.
