Beyond Blue Pools is a Houston, Texas-based company founded in 2015, dedicated to the design and construction of custom gunite pools, pool remodels, and outdoor living spaces for homeowners in the Greater Houston area. The company reports having built over 200 pools and offers a 10/3/1 warranty, in addition to holding BBB A+ accreditation.

Main services

The company's offering is organized into three lines of work:

• Custom pool design and construction: new gunite pools, designed and built from scratch.
• Pool remodels: updating existing pools.
• Outdoor living: decks, outdoor kitchens, and pergolas, that is, everything surrounding the water.

Work process

The company's method is divided into four stages. The first, consultation and design, spans weeks 1 to 3 and begins by listening to the client's needs to create a custom 3D design. The second, structure, takes place during weeks 4 to 8 and includes excavation, steel, plumbing, and shotcrete. The third, finishes, runs between weeks 9 and 12, with the installation of marble coping, porcelain tile, and pebble interior finish. The fourth stage, completion, begins in week 12 or later, with water filling and startup.

Technical and construction features

The company highlights several technical aspects of its pools. The gunite shell is manufactured at 4500 PSI, which according to the company is 50% stronger than the industry standard of 3000 PSI, and is designed to withstand Houston's clay soil, seasonal changes, and flood pressure without cracking. The pebble interior finish has a lifespan of 15 to 20 years, in contrast to basic plaster, which requires replacement every 5 to 7 years. The company also installs variable-speed automation that allows lighting, temperature, and circulation to be controlled from a phone, with pumps that according to the company use up to 80% less energy than single-speed pumps. Additionally, it commits to a real construction contract with specifications, scope, and schedule agreed before breaking ground.

The company operates in the Greater Houston area and mentions recent projects in Spring, Ridge, Fulshear, Meadow, Sugar Land, Grove, The Woodlands, Heritage, Katy, and Parkway. The locations of Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Katy, Cypress, and Sugar Land appear as service areas.
