Its purpose is to serve as a reference destination for those seeking practical information and inspiration before traveling to the region.
Content to organize your trip
The portal is structured into four main areas: things to do, places to go, plan your trip and trip inspiration. Within them, categories such as adventure & outdoors, rest & rejuvenation, eat & drink, romantic getaways, history & heritage, arts & culture, and kids & family are displayed. It also includes sections on events and festivals, practical information for getting here and local information.
The three major regions of North Carolina
The website organizes the territory into three main areas:
- Mountains: comprises the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, with attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail. It is subdivided into Smoky Mountains & Cherokee, Asheville & The Foothills and High Country.

- Coast: 300 miles of barrier island beaches, quaint waterfront towns and activities on and off the sand. It is divided into Outer Banks & Crystal Coast, Northeast Sounds & Inner Banks, Inner Coastal Plain and Southern Beaches.
