About Halekulani
Halekulani, an oceanfront hotel in Waikiki with more than a century of history
Halekulani presents itself as one of the first and finest hotels in Hawaii, with more than a hundred years of operation on the beachfront in Waikiki. Its offering combines luxury accommodations, acclaimed dining and a wellness and culture program, with no surprise resort fees, according to its own communications.
Accommodations: suites and rooms with Pacific views
The hotel organizes its offering into four categories: Premier Suites, Suites, Guestrooms and accessible rooms. The six Premier Suites, with views of Waikiki Beach, the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head, are distinguished by individual interior designs and spacious layouts. The Suites include Junior, one- and two-bedroom options, with separate areas for sleeping, dining and entertaining; the Junior Suites feature a sitting area and two private balconies, while the one- and two-bedroom suites have extra-large bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, a separate toilet in the full suites, a dressing room, at least one private balcony and complimentary wifi. Some suites offer extra-large balconies or a third bedroom. The Guestrooms follow a neutral-toned decor known as "Seven Shades of White". There are also rooms adapted for people with reduced mobility or hearing impairments.
Restaurants and bars: island, Italian and French cuisine
The dining offering includes several venues. La Mer is the flagship restaurant, serving island-inspired French cuisine with AAA Five Diamond and Forbes 5 Star recognitions. Orchids offers coastal Italian cuisine with a Hawaiian accent. House Without A Key serves tropical cocktails, appetizers and sunset views. Earl's at House Without A Key, Lewers Lounge (classic cocktails and live jazz), L'Aperitif Cocktail Bar, Halekulani Bakery and Terns complete the selection, which ranges from breakfast to dessert and from casual to fine dining.
Wellness and spa
SpaHalekulani, reopened after its renovation, takes a holistic approach and incorporates Pacific healing traditions into its treatments and salon services. The renovation added three new spa suites, a beauty salon and a boutique. The wellness program is completed with experiences such as walking meditation in the garden, tea and tatami, and fitness and movement activities.

The concierge team, with Les Clefs d'Or members, arranges experiences on the island. Among the offerings are exclusive dinners at La Mer, sessions at the Halekulani Dojo, the Hawaii International Film Festival, the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival 2026, surfing, visits to the Manoa Heritage Center, the Honolulu Museum of Art, Iolani Palace, the Bishop Museum and the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design, as well as a Tesla experience.
