Tallahassee State College — Florida Public Safety Institute

The Florida Public Safety Institute is a specialized training site in Gadsden County, near Havana. TSC established the institute in 2009 to prepare public-safety personnel through law-enforcement and fire academies, corrections training, DUI and traffic safety, and advanced or specialized courses.

Many offerings serve working professionals or applicants pursuing public-safety credentials, rather than students seeking a general transfer degree. Programs may set eligibility, testing, fitness, background or agency requirements. Contact the relevant academy and verify the training calendar before visiting.

The official location page identifies Academy Drive as the site address and 75 College Drive, Suite 203, as a mailing address. Do not use the mailing address for navigation. The college’s photo shows a driver-training exercise; follow FPSI’s access instructions for class and events.
