About Guilford Technical Community College — Small Business Center
GTCC’s Small Business Center is a local service rather than a degree campus. It is part of North Carolina’s statewide Small Business Center Network and has served Guilford County entrepreneurs from the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship since 1984. The college says the center reaches about 2,000 people each year through in-person and online seminars and counseling.
The center helps people explore business start-up and management questions. Published services include confidential one-on-one counseling, computer training and a resource library, plus seminars on business plans, finance, marketing, branding, first sales and customer service. Most workshops are free; the college notes that some advanced subjects may carry a nominal fee.
The office is at 1451 S. Elm Eugene Street, Suite 1201, in Greensboro. Visitors can register for a counseling session or check the seminar calendar through the official center page. This service does not replace admissions advising for academic programs; people seeking a credit-bearing business degree should contact GTCC Admissions and compare the current program catalog.
