RC Willey

Before the large stores, there was a red pickup truck. In 1932, Rufus Call Willey began selling appliances from his vehicle; that is the scene RC Willey uses to tell its origin story. Today, the company brings together furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, and flooring in a network of stores across the western United States.

Furniture is organized by room and use: bedrooms, dining rooms, sectional sofas, and reclining seating. Mattresses have their own category and can be combined with beds and other bedroom furniture. Decorated spaces and Shop the Look selections help customers picture coordinated rooms, while the catalog includes different brands, finishes, and styles for furnishing the home.

Appliances cover laundry equipment, refrigerators, freezers, cooking appliances, and small appliances. Electronics add televisions, audio equipment, computers, and tablets. Flooring completes a selection that can address a particular furniture purchase or several needs within a room. Availability is checked by store and delivery ZIP code.

The operation includes pickup and delivery and setup services, with White Glove and deluxe options. Blue Rewards is the membership program, and RCW Pro has a section for professionals. Apps, inspiration resources, and in-store assistance support the purchase. Each service relates to the relevant order and delivery area.

Utah stores are at 13300 S 200 W in Draper; 2205 N 1400 W in Layton; 693 E University Pkwy in Orem; and 2301 S 300 W in Salt Lake City. The last address also houses the carpet and flooring warehouse. The network distinguishes stores from logistics centers, with different functions for displays, purchases, and distribution.

Nevada locations are at 20 N Stephanie St in Henderson; 1201 Steamboat Pkwy in Reno; and 3850 S Town Center Dr in Summerlin. The store named Boise is at 3301 E Lanark St in Meridian, Idaho. In California, Rocklin is at 6636 Lonetree Blvd and Sacramento at 8340 Delta Shores Cir. The network connects cities in four states with online retail.

That regional scale is part of the choice: readers can begin with their nearest store, a product category, or a delivery service. RC Willey retains the link between furniture and home equipment found in its history, with an offering that brings together living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and household technology.
