North Orange Continuing Education — Wilshire Center

On East Wilshire Avenue, NOCE’s Wilshire Center gives adult education a historic address. The first red-brick schoolhouse on this corner dates to 1890, and the buildings have remained in educational use; Fullerton recognized the preserved site as a local landmark in 2009. NOCE now uses three dedicated buildings for instruction and offices. The main contact address is 315 E. Wilshire Avenue, Building 300, Fullerton, with in-person admissions and registration help Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The center brings together ESL, Career Technical Education, computer classes, parent-and-me courses, Disability Support Services, counseling, student records and registration administration. For adults who want to improve English or prepare for citizenship, NOCE offers free classes for eligible adults and allows enrollment at any of its three centers, even when the class itself meets at a partner site. Its current term schedule is the reliable way to check whether a specific course is taught at Wilshire or elsewhere; the building’s historic appearance should not be mistaken for a small museum or a credit-degree campus.

NOCE students need a parking permit at the Wilshire Center and at Fullerton College. NOCE lists fall/spring permits at $40, summer at $20 and daily parking at $3, while warning that a paid permit is not a guarantee of a space. Wilshire parking follows Fullerton College’s rules and designated lots, so read the current campus safety guidance before leaving a car. The site is in Fullerton’s urban grid, where OCTA route schedules can help students compare a bus trip with driving; route frequencies and stops can change, so use the agency’s current planner.

The NOCE site links institutional Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube accounts, and StarHelp handles registration questions at (714) 808-4679. Wilshire is the right profile for adults seeking the noncredit programs and student records based at this center; students seeking a credit associate degree should use Fullerton College’s separate admissions, financial-aid and academic pages.
