About Fullerton College — Main Campus
Fullerton College is the credit-bearing institution for students from Anaheim who want an associate degree, transfer preparation or career training. It is located at 321 E. Chapman Avenue in Fullerton, about a short drive north of central Anaheim, and traces its beginning to a 1913 class of 26 students. The college calls itself California’s oldest community college in continuous operation. Its current academic page lists 129 associate degrees, 179 career-education certificates and 37 transfer associate degrees, organized across divisions including business, humanities, math and computer science, natural sciences, fine arts, social sciences, physical education and technology and engineering.
The 83-acre main campus includes classrooms, labs, athletic facilities, a library, counseling and tutoring. The official campus map and visit page are useful before a first trip: the campus is reached from Chapman Avenue and the 57 or 91 freeways, and parking is in designated campus lots. Fullerton requires a permit; a daily pass is currently $3. The college also lists 50 fee-based Level 2 electric-vehicle charging ports in the parking structure. In fall and spring, a mandatory transportation fee includes unlimited OC Bus access, a useful option for students traveling from Anaheim or other Orange County cities.
New students apply through the California Community Colleges system, complete orientation and guided placement, meet with counseling and then register for classes. For Fall 2026 and Winter/Spring 2027, lower-division enrollment is $46 per unit and the health fee is $28 each term. Nonresident tuition and capital outlay total $421 per unit, before the standard enrollment fee and other applicable charges; eligible students may receive a fee waiver. Fullerton’s ESL Guided Self-Placement asks new English learners to review short reading and writing samples and choose the level that fits; the online process takes about an hour. Credit ESL courses range from two to five units, and the college says eligible students can use FAFSA and other aid.
Financial-aid options include federal grants, work-study, loans, California state aid and scholarships. As of October 26, 2026, the foundation’s Fall 2026 scholarship cycle is closed and applications are being reviewed; students can check the foundation page for the next cycle rather than rely on an old deadline. The campus’s history is visible in its long-running academic and community role, but practical planning still starts with a specific program map: a standard associate degree requires at least 60 applicable units, while course sequencing and availability determine how long an individual student takes. The college links Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube through its official site.
