Custom Shutters, Blinds, and Shades in Fort Myers

Sunburst Shutters Fort Myers is an interior window treatment provider operating in the Fort Myers metro area, Florida. The company designs, manufactures, and installs custom interior shutters, blinds, and shades, and offers a free initial in-home consultation to measure windows and present product samples and options.

Since 1999 it has been part of the Sunburst family and serves customers in the area, from JetBlue Park to Seminole Lodge. Its catalog is organized into interior shutters, blinds, and shades, and includes solutions for specific window shapes and locations.

Interior Shutters: Polywood, Ovation, and Studio

The company's most popular product is Polywood® synthetic wood interior shutters, followed by Ovation® hardwood shutters. The catalog also includes Studio shutters and reclaimed wood shutters. The best-selling shutter configuration is 3.5-inch louvers, smooth finish, and interior-mount Z-frame.

Polywood® shutters are presented as an energy-efficiency option: according to the company, they can conserve hot and cold air by up to 30 degrees Fahrenheit and help reduce utility bills. Most custom shutters are manufactured in the United States, at the company's own factory, which according to the company allows for shorter lead times.

Shades and Blinds for Every Window Type

The shade offering includes motorized, roller, Roman, cellular, transitional, sheer, woven, and Tumble models. In blinds, the catalog includes wood and faux-wood options, with customizable features. The company also sells sliding barn doors and shutters for them, available in different colors and with various options.

The catalog is completed with treatments for specialty window shapes: French doors, skylight windows, sliding doors, sidelights, bay windows, arched shutters, and circle windows. In addition, the company offers commercial window treatments.

Buying, Design, and Installation Process

The process begins with a free in-home consultation in which the team measures the windows and shows the available products and options to prepare a quote. The company states that the full timeline, from initial consultation to installation, is approximately four to six weeks, since the shutters are custom-made. Wood shutters tend to take longer due to the additional staining and finishing steps.

To define the final look, the company offers a shutter designer that allows you to try combinations of colors, frame styles, and louver sizes. It also offers a window treatment visualizer and a design center. Installation is carried out by the company's own team of installers and window treatment designers.

Warranty and Manufacturing

Custom shutters are presented as products designed to last for decades and come, according to the company, with the industry's best lifetime warranty. The company highlights that most of its custom shutters are manufactured in the United States, at its own factory.
