Wired Sound Academy is a DJ and music production school based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, located in the Sistrunk Marketplace. History and Founding Team

Wired Sound Academy was founded by DJ Crespo and Landis, who met in 2011 in a small South Florida studio. Both built careers in the music industry: DJ Crespo holds residencies at venues such as TAO Las Vegas and LIV Miami, while Landis has accumulated millions of streams, has reached the Billboard charts, and has performed at festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and EDC Orlando. Drawing on their own experience and a network of international DJs and producers, they created the academy to give aspiring artists the education, mentorship, and opportunities they did not have when they started.

Beyond the Classroom: Community and Opportunities

The academy defines itself as a community where students develop technical skills, build their personal brand, and gain real-world experience. Training covers DJing, music production, branding, content creation, and the business of the music industry. Students have access to showcases, open deck events, and performance opportunities, as well as a network of industry contacts. Many graduates have performed at clubs, festivals, private events, and venues in Florida and out of state, have released original music, and have built careers in the industry.

Facilities and Locations

The Fort Lauderdale location is inside the Sistrunk Marketplace, a space that combines a food hall, brewery, and event venue with more than twelve food vendors, a speakeasy, and a local brewery. The academy also has a location in Orlando, according to its own presentation.
