Broward Education Foundation Scholarships

Broward Education Foundation brings together scholarships for Broward County Public Schools seniors and opportunities from local sponsors. The 2027 online application opens November 1, 2026, with a general deadline of March 15, 2027; some awards list separate dates. The portal does not promise a uniform award amount: funds target different backgrounds, schools, or fields.

The page lists awards for students interested in technology, fine arts, service, leadership, financial need, or technical programs. For example, the City of Sunrise award is limited to residents there; the Marlene Methelis art scholarship targets fields such as photography, sculpture, ceramics, fashion, or graphic arts. Check every listing against your profile before applying.

Beyond the portal, some opportunities require hard-copy materials or additional documents to arrive by March 15. Review the checklist and partner-award section. Avoid using one generic essay for every category: connect experience and goals to the award, and confirm whether the school must certify enrollment or eligibility.

The foundation also points to outside awards such as Community Foundation of Broward or STEM scholarships. Those organizations have their own calendars and forms, so Broward’s portal does not replace their applications. Before accepting an award, ask the college how it should be reported and what happens if combined aid exceeds documented need or other limits.
