Doheny's Pool Supplies

Doheny's Pool Supplies, pool supplies since 1967

Doheny's Pool Supplies is a pool supply retailer that operates primarily through its online store. The company states it has been active since 1967 and positions itself as a specialist in water chemical treatment, a field in which it claims 59 years of experience. Its catalog is aimed at both above ground and inground pool owners, and also includes products for spas and saunas.

The company carries the leading brands in the industry and maintains a low price guarantee policy, according to its own presentation. The site indicates nationwide shipping and next-day delivery on pool supplies, with free shipping on orders over $50.

Water chemical treatment

The chemicals area is one of the cornerstones of the catalog. It includes chlorine in various formats, among them 3-inch tablets in 50 and 25 lb buckets, granular chlorine or dichlor, and chlorine alternatives. The company explains that the hardness, density, and solubility of the tablets influence the chlorine release rate, a process that depends on the temperature and pressure applied during their manufacture.

Alongside chlorination products, it offers shock and super shock treatments, algaecides in various formulations, winter closing kits, balancing products, clarifiers and enzymes, stain removers, start-up kits, and water testers. It also sells automatic chemical feeders for above ground and inground pools.

Equipment and filtration systems

The equipment catalog covers pool pumps, cover pumps and their accessories, differentiated by type of installation. Salt generators with replacement cells, sand, cartridge, and diatomaceous earth filters, multiport valves, and filtration accessories are also available, along with proprietary filter cartridges.

In heating, propane and natural gas heaters, heat pumps, and solar heaters with collectors are offered, all in versions for above ground and inground pools.

Cleaning and maintenance

The cleaning section includes robotic cleaners, suction and pressure cleaners, handheld vacuums, and cleaner accessories, with variants depending on the type of pool. For maintenance, it sells vacuum heads, leaf skimmers and skimmers, brushes, hoses, paints, and deck coatings.

Covers, liners, and accessories

Doheny's offers solid and mesh winter covers, leaf nets, safety covers —including custom and onground versions—, solar covers with reel systems and accessories, and alternatives such as solar sun rings. The winter closing section includes kits, air pillows, attachment clips, bags and water blocks, and cover pumps.

Liners are divided between above ground pools —with overlap, beaded, expandable, J-Hook, and unibead models, and rectangular flat-bottom liners— and inground pools, with their installation accessories. The store also sells above ground pools, Intex and Quick models, and inground pools.

Accessories, spas, and other categories

The accessories catalog includes lighting and fountains, storage and fencing solutions, pool steps and ladders, in-pool loungers, slides, trampolines, alarms and timers, and thermometers. For spas, it offers chemicals, blowers, pumps, heaters, cleaners, replacement filter cartridges, covers and lifts, and accessories. The company also maintains a clearance section with display products, discounted returns, and items from previous seasons, as well as toys, floats, and replacement parts.
