About El Paso Community College — Rio Grande Campus
Rio Grande began as EPCC’s first permanent facility in 1975. At 100 West Rio Grande Avenue, it sits near downtown and serves students looking for health, science, arts and occupational programs close to the city center. The college says the campus has the full range of student services, including admissions, financial aid, counseling and registration, plus a library, bookstore and cafeteria.
The most distinctive recent investment is Building J, a career and technical education facility for healthcare training. EPCC describes simulation labs and practical preparation for EMT, phlebotomy and radiography work; it also established an associate program in echocardiography here. This is a useful campus to compare if you are considering a health career, although admission to some health programs is competitive and may require prerequisites beyond general college admission.
The campus also offers basic academic-skills support and credit-bearing English as a Second Language classes. Its location makes it one of the district’s most urban sites: EPCC’s campus page places it near the downtown business district and records a multilevel parking garage opened in 2004. Check the current course schedule to see which programs meet here and whether classes use the health-science building or another campus.
The published address is 100 West Rio Grande Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79902. It is the campus to choose when a downtown location, health-science labs or an urban class setting matters to your decision. Use the directions link for the street address and campus parking entrance.
