About El Paso Community College — Mission Del Paso Campus

Mission Del Paso opened in 1998 for the east El Paso and Mission Valley area, at 10700 Gateway East between Americas Avenue and Horizon Boulevard. EPCC says the campus offers a broad class schedule and student services such as admission, registration, financial aid and counseling, so students living in the far east can handle more than classroom visits at this address.

The Law Enforcement Training Academy is a defining feature. Since 2000, it has trained regional law-enforcement agencies and offered programs for security guards and peace officers. The campus also has instructional labs for ESL, reading and tutoring, and Mission Early College High School, where accepted high-school students can work toward a diploma and associate degree concurrently.

For someone comparing English support, this is one of EPCC’s places with dedicated English-language labs and reading support. Students pursuing a regular degree should distinguish this from the separate noncredit Language Institute and ask an advisor how placement, ESOL coursework and the desired program fit together. Some classes or technical instruction may be assigned at another campus, so the course schedule is the final guide.

The official campus address is 10700 Gateway East, El Paso, Texas 79927. Its location between Americas Avenue and Horizon Boulevard makes it the district’s eastern campus. The college’s directions link and campus map help identify the correct building before a visit.
