About Durham Technical Community College — Main Campus

The Main Campus is Durham Tech’s largest academic site, covering 79 acres at East Lawson Street. Admissions, advising, the library, student support, campus safety and administrative offices are here, alongside programs in automotive systems, accounting, health technologies, opticianry, translation and interpretation, engineering, technology and other fields. The current building directory shows where particular departments meet, so a student should use the room and building on the appointment notice rather than stopping only at the general address.

Several resources are organized by building: White houses admissions and adult education; the Educational Resources Center is the main library; Wynn is a student-services hub; and specialized facilities support applied learning, automotive and health programs. The campus also hosts the Center for the Global Learner, which helps students explore free community ESL and academic English options.

The public address is 1637 East Lawson Street. Durham Tech requires a current parking permit for vehicles on college property, including visitors; permits can be requested through campus police. GoDurham Route 8 serves the Lawson Street area, with regional connections available through GoTriangle. Check the campus map and class schedule before setting out.
