About Northwest Campus — WCCCD
Northwest is WCCCD’s health-sciences hub in northwest Detroit. The college describes six buildings, including a welcome center, general-arts and laboratory-sciences buildings, an education center and a Health Science Center. Nursing and allied health, the Information Technology Institute and Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center give this location a distinct role within the district.
The Health Science Center lists nursing, dental hygiene and assisting, surgical technology, anesthesia technology, pharmacy technology, phlebotomy, patient care and medical-office training. Other campus options include computer information systems, cybersecurity, early childhood education, emergency medical technology, hotel and restaurant management and corrections. Several health tracks require prerequisites, clinical work or selective admission; consult current program handbooks for credits and sequence.
The official address is 8200 West Outer Drive. WCCCD’s free parking permits are issued at campus police offices to eligible students, employees and faculty. The Larry K. Lewis Education Center brings enrollment, advising and financial-aid services together, while classes use different buildings. Check the campus map and assigned room before a clinical lab, culinary class or advising appointment.
