About Eastern Campus — WCCCD

Eastern Campus stands on Conner Street beside I-94. WCCCD says it serves Detroit’s east side and North End, the Grosse Pointes, Hamtramck and Harper Woods. The Center for Workforce and Economic Development and the district’s Mechatronics Center are based here, giving technical learning a prominent role alongside general academic courses.

The Regional Training Center coordinates short, job-focused training in construction, civil technology, commercial driving, computer skills and trades such as welding, advanced manufacturing, CNC, pipefitting, diesel mechanics and HVAC. WCCCD says many cohorts draw on grants or partnerships and may carry no trainee charge, depending on program and funding. Degree and certificate classes are listed separately in the main catalog; check where each section meets.

The campus address is 5901 Conner Street. Students, faculty and staff can apply for WCCCD’s free parking permit at the Eastern site; the district says it is valid at all campus lots and requires identity and vehicle documents. The location beside I-94 is useful to drivers. Confirm the current transit route and the exact training or classroom building with the college before travelling.
