About Curtis L. Ivery Downtown Campus — WCCCD

The Downtown Campus occupies a former railroad-station complex in Detroit’s central business district. WCCCD locates its Language Institute, Cybersecurity Lab, Physical Therapist Assistant Lab and Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery here. The Curtis L. Ivery Health and Wellness Education Center is also nearby at its own address; it lists a fitness floor, group exercise, walking track and arena. Check its visitor and membership terms separately before planning to use the facility.

Campus signature programs include accounting, business, computer information systems and cybersecurity, corrections and law enforcement, electrical/electronics engineering technology, paralegal technology, physical therapist assistant and pre-engineering. The district offers more than 130 credentials overall, but that does not mean every course meets here each term. Selective health programs can have prerequisites and separate admission, so consult the current catalog and schedule before setting a start date.

The teaching campus address is 1001 W Fort Street. WCCCD issues free parking permits at five teaching campuses; applicants bring a driver’s license, vehicle registration and student ID or class confirmation. The separate district administration building is at 801 W Fort Street, so make sure an appointment is at the campus rather than the office. Confirm the class building and transit route with the college before travelling.

In brief
