Bakersfield College — Delano Campus

The Delano Campus gives students in northern Kern and nearby southern Tulare County a local way into Bakersfield College. It is at 1450 Timmons Avenue, about 35 miles north of the Panorama campus. BC says Delano staff also coordinate access to courses and advising for McFarland, Wasco, Shafter and Arvin, so the campus serves a wider rural area than its city address suggests.

The Delano student-services directory lists admissions and records, financial-aid appointments, a computer commons, open lab, bookstore, student pantry and hygiene closet, library, counseling, disability support and employment help. Its Learning Center offers free tutoring and writing assistance to currently enrolled BC students, along with group study and academic-skills support. Student lots require a permit; the campus page identifies a one-day permit dispenser beside College Safety.

BC publishes course-specific and educational-planning classes at Delano, but the offerings can change each semester. Students from surrounding towns should contact the campus before making the trip to confirm the class, counseling appointment or support service they need. The college lists 661-720-2000 for Delano and 661-720-2004 for counseling and advising.
