Fort Lauderdale United Juniors Recreational Academy

FTL UTD Juniors is a recreational starting point for boys and girls ages four to twelve, with beginners welcome and no prior experience required. The Fall 2026 program meets Mondays and Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for twelve weeks and twenty-four sessions, September 14 through December 4. The published regular price is $199 per season. Balls, cones and training equipment are provided; the club also lists indoor gym access, merchandise discounts and free tickets to professional home matches among the program benefits.

The academy is held at 6880 Mary McCahill Drive in Davie, not within Fort Lauderdale city limits. The club describes the program as non-competitive, although children with experience may participate. Coaches from FTL UTD Academy lead the sessions, with professional players coaching weekly according to the club. This is an introduction to soccer and the organization, not a guaranteed selection into the competitive academy. Ask how birth-year groups are divided, whether enrollment can start mid-season, which shoes and shin guards to bring and what happens if a session is canceled.

The club lists Winter 2026–27 from December 14 to March 5, 2027; on October 30 the page said registration would open soon. The Fall season is already underway, so confirm availability rather than relying on the original fall announcement. The Juniors practice address is distinct from Amerant Bank Field at 7510 SW 30th Street, also in Davie, where the professional teams play home matches. A map result for the training complex or stadium describes the facility, not this specific recreational program, so no facility rating is attached here.

The area has a genuine top-division professional women’s side: Fort Lauderdale United competes in the USSF Division I Gainbridge Super League. Its men are scheduled for USL League One in 2027, a third-division competition. Inter Miami CF plays in MLS at Miami Freedom Park. A Juniors registration can introduce a child to the club, but it does not promise a future roster spot. Families in Fort Lauderdale proper can compare this nearby Davie program with Rush’s park-based club teams and AGS’s indoor Oakland Park classes. Check the official Juniors page for the next registration opening and full session details.
