About North Orange Continuing Education — Cypress Center

The Cypress Center is easy to mistake for a Cypress College office because it sits on that college’s larger campus, but it is a separate NOCE service center. Its permanent Building 18 opened in 2008; classrooms, registration, staff offices and additional instruction in the second floor of Technical Education II serve noncredit students. The address is 9200 Valley View Street, Building 18, Office 100, Cypress. NOCE’s posted walk-in assistance hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The center’s program mix is unusually practical: ESL classes and a student support center, an open-entry high-school diploma lab, college-preparation classes, Disability Support Services, fitness and health classes, parenting courses, counseling and student services. Those offerings connect everyday learning needs with the neighboring credit campus without making them the same institution or credential. Adults age 18 and older can register for NOCE’s free ESL and citizenship-preparation classes; the current NOCE schedule identifies the exact rooms and days, including courses that meet outside the central office.

Students can ask StarHelp about registration at (714) 808-4679. Drivers should plan for Cypress College’s shared parking system: NOCE says permits are required at the Cypress Center and the college, with fall/spring permits listed at $40, summer at $20 and a daily fee at $3. At the center, a permit can be purchased in Building 18, Room 100, and the NOCE page notes credit-card-only payment there. Buying a permit does not guarantee an available stall. Because addresses and building numbers on a large campus can be confusing, use the center’s listing rather than navigating only to Cypress College’s main entrance.

NOCE links its Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube accounts from its official web presence. The institutional account is shared across the three NOCE centers, so current posts and the class calendar are useful for schedule changes, but the Cypress profile remains distinct: it is the campus location for noncredit services, not a separate credit college or a degree-granting branch.

In brief

A dedicated NOCE center within Cypress College for noncredit ESL, high-school completion, college preparation, fitness and registration services.
