Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Program
The HSF Scholar Program combines student selection with support beyond money. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund says it selects 10,000 students each year for the HSF Scholar community and offers career services, mentoring, leadership, wellness, and academic resources. A scholar may receive a monetary scholarship, but selection for the program does not mean everyone receives the same award or guaranteed funding.
About Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Program
The HSF Scholar Program combines student selection with support beyond money. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund says it selects 10,000 students each year for the HSF Scholar community and offers career services, mentoring, leadership, wellness, and academic resources. A scholar may receive a monetary scholarship, but selection for the program does not mean everyone receives the same award or guaranteed funding.
For the now-closed 2026 cycle, HSF listed awards from $500 to $5,000 based on relative need and availability, and required U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or DACA status; a minimum 3.0 GPA for high-school students and 2.5 for college and graduate students; and full-time enrollment at a public or nonprofit four-year school or graduate program in the United States. The program is open to students of any race who identify with Hispanic heritage. Confirm the 2027 dates when announced.
The application required the 2026–27 FAFSA and later phases involving admission and enrollment documents. Because the portal currently marks the cycle closed, create an account and watch for the next announcement rather than sending information outside the window. Prepare records, verify that the program and school meet the rules, and monitor HSF messages. Networking and career-development services may be part of the experience even when a student does not receive a monetary scholarship.
To estimate the real cost, ask the school for a written calculation separating tuition, fees, housing, and expenses the award does not cover. Confirm whether aid can renew and what academic progress it requires. Keep the award letter and verify when funds will be applied to the student account.
