About Del Mar College — Center for Economic Development
The Center for Economic Development (CED) is Del Mar College’s off-campus hub for workforce and continuing education rather than a conventional degree campus. The college lists personal-enrichment programs, customized training and the Small Business Development Center here, along with the Del Mar College Foundation. Adult ESL class-location information also lists the CED. The building serves people seeking a short course, employer training, small-business support or registration assistance without navigating a full academic campus.
The Small Business Development Center offers confidential one-to-one advising at no cost by appointment and publishes more than 120 seminars and workshops a year. Continuing Education covers professional and personal development; topics, dates, prerequisites and prices vary by course. Registration can be completed online, by phone or in person at the CED. For course enrollment, Del Mar lists 361-698-1328 and weekday office hours; the SBDC has a separate appointment line and service rules.
The address is 3209 South Staples Street. Del Mar states its campus parking is free and permits are not currently required. Students with a valid ID ride RTA buses free, and the college’s map/directions links identify this center. Check the course or advising page before visiting because a workshop, ESL session and one-to-one SBDC meeting may use different rooms or schedules.
