Central Arizona College Financial Aid — orientación para FAFSA y ayudas

Central Arizona College Financial Aid is the college office that helps organise the federal-aid file and clarify which records CAC needs before calculating assistance. The paying-for-college page says FAFSA must be filed each academic year and that updates appear in the Student Portal; for Pinal Promise, the college says it reviews the aid file first and then tells the student what step or document remains.

This matters because submitting FAFSA does not always mean the file is complete. If a student is selected for federal verification, the office may request additional records. CAC tells students to check their college email and the portal’s documents and awards areas. The office can explain the process, but it does not replace the Promise application or change the Pinal County residence and eligible-school requirements.

For the May 2026 cohort, Pinal Promise was a last-dollar fund for uncovered in-state tuition—excluding loans—with separate credit-load, service, and academic-progress rules. CAC’s institutional scholarships can use different criteria, such as GPA or programme of study. Ask staff to explain each line of the aid package separately; do not assume FAFSA aid, institutional scholarships, and Promise can be stacked without changing the remaining balance.
