HANSONS Home Improvement: exterior home improvement in the Midwest

HANSONS Home Improvement is an American company dedicated to exterior home improvement, with over 35 years of activity and a presence in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The company states it has served more than 300,000 customers and holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, according to its own presentation.

Products and services

The company's catalog covers several categories of home products:

• Windows: replacement windows in bay, bow, casement, double hung, garden, picture, and slider models.
• Roofing: residential roofing, metal roofing, and storm and hail damage repair.
• Siding: siding and shutters.
• Gutters: gutters and gutter guards.
• Baths: bathtub and shower installation, with a leak-proof guarantee.
• Patio doors.

Lifetime Guarantee

The company backs its work with a lifetime guarantee that, according to its description, covers repair if windows break, shingles leak, or siding gets damaged. This guarantee applies to Smart Choice and Premium product solutions for roofing, siding, windows, and gutters. Bathtubs and showers have a specific leak-proof guarantee.

Work process

The service is structured in three stages. During the consultation, an expert takes measurements of the home and shows the different product lines and style options. A customized estimate is then provided based on the characteristics of the home and the customer's budget, and available financing alternatives are discussed. Finally, a team of trained and certified installers carries out the installation, from start to final cleanup.

Coverage and climate adaptation

The company operates in six states and adapts its products to the climatic conditions of each area: hail in Nebraska, ice dams in Michigan, summer winds in Iowa and South Dakota, and freeze-thaw cycles in Ohio and Indiana. Installation teams are specifically trained on these products and conditions.

Current promotions on the site

The website showed a fall warehouse clearance promotion with 50% off installation of roofing, baths, windows, siding, and gutters (labor only), valid from September 14 to 27, 2026, and not combinable with other offers. A $50,000 exterior makeover sweepstakes was also announced, along with no-interest, no-payment financing until fall 2027, subject to credit approval and lender terms.

The company has local teams in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Saginaw (Michigan); Toledo (Ohio); South Bend (Indiana); Sioux Falls (South Dakota); Omaha (Nebraska); Cedar Rapids and Des Moines (Iowa). Phone support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
