About Columbus State Community College — Columbus Campus

The Columbus Campus sits in downtown’s Discovery District, where student life shares blocks with hospitals, government offices, and the city’s cultural institutions. It is the college’s broadest service hub: the official campus map places admissions, financial aid, testing, Student Central, the library, tutoring, writing support, dining, and the Mid-Ohio Market in separate buildings around the same walkable campus. The main address is 550 East Spring Street; visitors should use the building map because student services do not all occupy that address.

The college’s program catalogue spans transfer degrees, applied associate degrees, certificates, and workforce training. The downtown site is especially useful for students who need advising, tutoring, library access, or help with an application while taking classes in different buildings. The published campus map identifies a student parking garage on East Long Street. Visitor parking is paid; the college lists the current garage rate and daily cap on its parking page. COTA buses serve downtown, and Columbus State provides a semester COTA-pass request for eligible students while supplies last.

This is the location to start when a student is still choosing a path. A visit can connect an applicant to Student Central, placement testing, financial aid, and advising, while the term schedule shows where each class meets. The Language Institute is now housed at Phillips Hall on Franklin University’s campus, about a mile south of the main campus, so English learners should check the separate location rather than assume those classes meet downtown.
